International Space Systems Treaty ISST
US initiative for the International Community
FROM SPACE FOR PROGRESS
Space for Progress is a small and innovative space policy organization seeking the formulation of a Treaty level US Space Development Agenda.
We are seeking outreach and direct participation into policy making and for education on this topic.
We are based in the coastal city of Santa Cruz California USA.
Our location provides us with an easy opportunity to engage for the many academic and technological forums of nearby Silicon Valley and the Bay Area.
Established in 2004, we are pleased to have the opportunity to participate in the ongoing discussion regarding space based attributes and the related global potentials of the Information Age.
We find that our independent and non-aligned approach presents us with both advantages and complexities.
Advantages because we are able to draw from the best and most creative of our local resources.
Yet searching out the well integrated dialog, requires a balanced focus for what becomes a very dynamic, far reaching and topical space policy circumstance.
We hope that you will review this short presentation for the way forward with interest, and that you will be able to support our durable and our long term objectives.
We propose that US Congress, Senate and White House undertakes the International Space Systems Treaty ISST as being worthy of serious consideration.
Process for review and qualification of the Treaty proposal would move through House and Congress into endorsement by the US President.
US endorsement would be the prelude for Treaty referral to the UN and for an eventual ratification within the International Community
ISST will represent an important National, International and Governmental resource.
ISST will support international space exploration and lunar settlement
ISST will enable worthwhile space based technological implementations
